What is Linc?
Linc is a private iOS relationship reminder that helps you stay in touch with people who matter to you. You add friends to your list, set a reminder interval for each person, log your interactions when you connect, and Linc notifies you when too much time has passed since your last contact.
Is Linc free to use?
Linc is free to download with core features included. Linc Premium unlocks unlimited friends, advanced interaction notes, relationship insights, and priority support. The free version supports up to 6 friends and full reminder functionality.
Does Linc require an account or login?
No account is required for local use. You can open the app and start using it immediately. Your data is stored on your device by default, and optional account sync is available for cross-device continuity.
How do reminders work?
For each person you add, you set a reminder interval — weekly, monthly, or any custom number of days. When that interval has passed since your last logged interaction with that person, Linc sends a local push notification reminding you to reach out. Once you connect and log the interaction, the timer resets.
Does Linc access my contacts or social media?
Linc can optionally access your contacts to make it easier to add friends. You choose who to add — the app never reads your message history, call logs, or any social media account. Contacts access is optional and can be denied without affecting core functionality.
Where is my data stored? Is it backed up?
Your Linc data — friend list, interaction history, and reminder settings — is stored on your device by default. If you opt into account sync, data can sync through that account layer for cross-device access and backup. Without sync, your data stays on the device running Linc.
Does Linc work offline?
Yes, Linc works completely offline. Because all data is local and reminders are local push notifications scheduled on your device, the app doesn't need an internet connection to function.
Can I customize how often I get reminders for different people?
Yes. Every person in your Linc list has their own independent reminder interval. You might check in with a close friend every 7 days and a former colleague every 90 days. You can change any interval at any time, and there is a custom option to set any number of days you want.
